Terms of commission

• Payment is split into a 50% deposit and the remaining 50% on completion.
• Two rounds of revisions are included at the sketch/outline stage. Once painting is underway, no further revisions can be made.
• Every portrait is a custom, hand-painted commission, so refunds are not available once painting has started. If there is a genuine likeness issue, Sindy will offer a replacement or rework.
• Shipping is UK only.

Sending an enquiry through the commission form is not a commitment to buy. Sindy will get in touch to talk through your portrait, and you will approve a sketch before any painting begins.

Prices start from £95 for A5, £175 for A4, £320 for A3 and £480 for Large. All prices are “from” prices. Sindy will confirm the final price with you before any work begins. If you need your portrait by a particular date, tell Sindy when you enquire: +30% for expedited turnaround — discuss with Sindy.

None of this affects your legal rights. For example, if your portrait arrives damaged or is not as described, your statutory rights still apply.

Allow around 4–6 weeks for a typical portrait. Timing depends on the size of your portrait and Sindy’s current schedule, and she will confirm it for yours when you enquire.

Shipping is UK only. Your portrait is shipped to your UK address once it is complete and the final payment has been made.

Please only send photos you took or have permission to use. Sindy uses them to paint your portrait, and how your photos and details are handled is covered in our Privacy Policy.
